Last updated 19 October 2026

Dayli is a shared calendar for families and friends. This page says what the app stores, why, who else sees it, and how to delete it. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.

What Dayli stores

DataWhy
Your email address, or your Apple or Google account identifier, and the name you chooseTo sign you in and show your name to people you share calendars with
Calendars, events, participants, comments, polls, event pages and the photos or files you attachThat is the calendar. Shared with the members of each calendar and the people you invite, and nobody else
Your mobile number, only if you add oneSo friends who have your number can find you, and, when it arrives, so Dayli can send invitations over WhatsApp. Only you can see it
Friends, added by email addressSo you can see when a friend is busy. Friends see only busy and free times, never your event titles, unless you share a calendar with them
Busy times from your phone's own calendars, only if you turn that onSo friends see those as busy too. Only start and end times leave the phone, never titles, places or people
A home town and its coordinates, only if you set oneTo show the weather on your day view
A push notification token for your device, only if you allow notificationsTo deliver invitations, replies and reminders
What you type or say into Ask Dayli and smart add, and the answerTo turn it into events, and so we can fix mistakes the assistant makes. Voice is turned into text on your phone; only the text is sent

Who else processes it

Dayli does not sell data, does not show adverts, and does not use analytics or tracking libraries.

How long it is kept

As long as you have an account. Deleting your account in the app (More → Delete account) removes your profile, your events, photos, files, friendships, tokens and assistant history at once. Events in calendars you shared stay with the other members, without your name attached.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion. Deletion is self-service in the app. For anything else, write to the address below and we will answer within a month.

Children

Dayli is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
